Class focus was purely on the power snatch, we studied a Texas style movement of meeting the bar on the upper thigh/hip region (depending on grip and lever length) and practiced drills to aim to ensure consistency as load increased. The power snatch is often a less utilised speed lift, unlike the power clean and is also a constructive movement when learning progressions of the full squat snatch itself.
